Shrewsbury Folk Festival is an annual festival of folk and world music and traditional dance held in the town of Shrewsbury in Shropshire, England. It takes place over the 4 days of the August bank holiday weekend, and moved to Shrewsbury in 2006, having previously being held in Bridgnorth, with the first festival taking place in 1997.
Designed the poster above for the festival (2009), to be used at pubs and other music centric venues. The folks wanted something that was minimalist, which simply allowed for the artist names to shine.
The four lines represent the length of the festival, for both artists and fans.
