Vaisakhi is a very important day for Sikhs and one of the most colourful events in the Sikh calendar; it occurs during mid-April. To celebrate Sikhs invite everyone to join them in a parade where food and gifts are given out for free. The Vaisakhi Committee has recently been rejuvenated with younger members, who want youth to participate in the festivities.
Vaisakhi Committee of Surrey had a goal of bringing more youth to the parade, and also trying to get youth to take a leadership role in the planning of future parades. With that in mind, I gathered 5 local youth and centered them behind the campaign. The final design has them posing in a very welcoming stance, with folded hands.
Since this campaign was targeted at youth ranging from 10 to 28, I made sure committee members allowed me to design in a minimalistic approach, keeping the design clean and to the point.
