The domain industry is notorious for a high volume of parked, ad-riddled pages that try to monetize through domain sales or pay-per-clicks. Conversely, Venture set out to be an industry disruptor - a digital lease marketplace for premium domains, top notch .com domains. There are over 350 million domains registered on the internet, and being able to obtain the top 1% is incredibly costly if not impossible. Venture aims to provide a solution by making the top 1% of domains available for use at affordable prices -- the ideal scenario for startups seeking top recognizable domains.
I created the company’s visual identity, designed print collateral, pitch decks, and key features for the online platform. With such premium products on the line as the revenue stream, I focused on sales tactics through design elements that also needed to convey the exclusivity of the product. Venture needed a website worthy of its product exclusivity.
For inspiration, I ran competitive analyses on the jewellery and fashion sectors. The resounding design elements these luxury brands had in common: simplicity, exclusivity, and high-quality craftsmanship.
Less is more. There was extreme diligence around reducing all noise and featuring the essentials, while maintaining usability and providing a delightful experience.
